Due to continuous advancements made with the completion of energy savings projects, the Bayer’s Emeryville Supply Center received a $6,800 rebate check from PG&E as part of their energy rebate program.
Most recently, Bayer Emeryville was forced to address the issue of storing Bayer product in the Emeryville site warehouse. Stored product must remain within the 15-30 degree Celsius range. However, during summer and winter seasons, the temperature within the warehouse could be difficult to stabilize. Installation of 6-inch thick R19 insulation in the ceilings was essential and has not only dealt with this challenge, but it has assisted the site with energy conservation.
Furthermore, there is a $16,500 projected energy savings per year as well as additionally forecasted operating cost savings for the Emeryville site. The site looks forward to other projects to continue our energy and cost savings momentum.
