Financial/Savings

Health & Wellness
Our employees can choose from a variety of competitive medical and insurance options. Such options cover hospitalization, surgery, in-patient and out-patient medical care, diagnostics, home health care, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage and a variety of other medical services and supplies.
Bayer also offers flexible-spending accounts, allowing employees to set aside money on a pre-tax basis to pay for health care and/or dependent care expenses.
In addition, our employees may be reimbursed for health and fitness center memberships, smoking cessation programs and Weight Watchers.
Personal Development
Employees may receive full or partial reimbursement for eligible education expenses including:
- Charges for courses and textbooks in a field reasonably related to present or probable future work assignment
- Charges for courses toward a GED
There are also ongoing computer, safety, management and diversity training courses available to Bayer employees.
Work and Day-to-Day Living
We know our employees have lives outside of work. To make it easier, we offer an on-site dry cleaning pick-up and delivery service, and subsidized chair massages. There are also flexible work options available, including job sharing and telecommuting.
There is a Bayer store located on the Berkeley campus, where employees can pick up Bayer consumer care products (One-a-Day Vitamins, Bayer Aspirin, etc.) before they head home.
Commuting and Transportation
Getting around both the San Francisco Bay Area and the Seattle area can be time consuming, so Bayer offers incentives for its employees who walk, bike, or use public transportation to get to work. Private bicycle lockers, public transportation subsidies, carpool programs and gift cards are a few of the ‘extras’ which Bayer offers to urge employees to leave their cars at home.

Company employees have access to multiple types of discounts, whether it’s Bayer over-the-counter products at the Bayer Store or discounts from national and local retailers. Employees receive frequent notices about these opportunities via e-mail.
