Seattle
The flagship facility of Bayer's supply center in the Seattle area is a new, $85 million manufacturing center in the early stages of licensure, testing and validation. Once complete and licensed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration this 95,000 square foot facility, located on a 16-acre site in Lynwood, Washington, is where Bayer will consolidate all supply operations behind Leukine®*, (sargramostim), a growth factor that helps fight infection and disease in cancer patients by enhancing immune cell function.
* LEUKINE® (sargramostim) is a recombinant granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (rhu GM-CSF) for use following induction chemotherapy in older adults with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) to shorten time to neutrophil recovery and to reduce the incidence of severe and life-threatening infections and infections resulting in death. LEUKINE is also used in multiple stem cell transplantation settings click here to read the full indications.

There were occasional reports of fluid retention, dyspnea, supraventricular tachycardia, and laboratory abnormalities (increases in creatinine, bilirubin, and liver enzymes).
